De Goorloop
The Goorloop rises in the Sang and Goorkens nature reserve to the south-east of Mierlo. At the border of this area it merges with Vleutloop, which also has its source here. Then the Goorloop passes under the Eindhovens Kanaal with a culvert, flows between Helmond and Stiphout and passes the Wilhelminakanaal between Lieshout and Aarle-Rixtel. Then the Goorloop flows west past Beek en Donk. There it merges with the Heieindse Loop, a brook that originates near Mariahout. From here to its mouth in the Aa, the little river is called Boerdonkse Aa. It also passes under the Zuid-Willemsvaart.
The Goorloop originated (after the construction of the Zuid-Willemsvaart) from a part, called Goorloop, that flowed via Goor to the Aa and a part, called Mierle, that followed the current Goorloop around Croy Castle (between Stiphout and Aarle-Rixtel).

The old Mierle (before the construction of the Zuid-Willemsvaart) used to flow from Boerdonk to Erp, where it joined the Aa. Nowadays, the stream runs via the Boerdonkse Aa, where it flows into the Aa halfway between Gemert and Erp.
