At Museum Klok & Peel, you learn in a unique way how De Groote Peel, a national park on the border of Brabant and Limburg, has developed over millions of years. Furthermore, the museum has the largest collection of bells and carillons in the world. It might sound like an odd combination until you find out that Asten is also the home of the famous Eijsbouts bell foundry, supplier of the bell for the Notre Dame in Paris. So come and enjoy the natural and cultural history in the ‘Best Outing in Brabant’, according to the ANWB, the Dutch motoring association.

Location
The museum is the perfect stopover for walkers and cyclists, with charging stations for electric bikes and a bike repair set. Cycle past the Peel-ommetjes (detour routes) or walk along the Spreukenpad (path of proverbs), where a trail of bronze plaques takes you past Asten’s most beautiful spots. Furthermore, the museum is located close to Theme Park Toverland, and you can reach the Vincentre in Nuenen or the Van Abbemuseum in Eindhoven within half an hour.
