Christmas concert ‘Sleigh Bells Bonanza’

The A and B percussion ensembles of the Koninklijke Harmonie Oefening & Uitspanning (O&U) from Beek en Donk will perform an enchanting Christmas concert entitled ‘Sleigh Bells Bonanza’. In Muziekcentrum Het Anker, let yourself be carried away by an afternoon of music and Christmas magic, with the Sleigh Bells being heard regularly.

The concert opens with an atmospheric marimba solo, followed by the sounds of a well-known television soundtrack. This is followed by an impressive concert piece, in which pianist Ties Benjamins (16), together with ensemble A, creates a hypnotic soundscape that takes the Christmas atmosphere to another dimension. For Ties, the best thing about making music is that he can put his own twist on everything, so that the emotion and passion can really be put into the music. ‘It is an honour for me to be able to play with these top musicians and work together on this incredibly cool musical experience!’

Also on the programme in the first part are several pieces of film music and swinging feel-good songs. After a short break, the second part will then be entirely dedicated to Christmas music, with surprising and innovative arrangements of well-known Christmas classics. Vocalists, a combo and a storyteller will add to the atmosphere. And who knows, Father Christmas himself might pay a visit too!
