Tinkers, Dreamers and Drinkers

The band ‘Tinkers, Drinkers, Dreamers’ is coming to the Kouwenbergs church in Aarle-Rixtel. The band has a long history. In its nearly 30 years of existence, it has performed at several festivals.

Among others, it performed at various editions of the Folkwoods festival, the Eire at the Top festival in Enkhuizen, the Celtic festival in Goirle and at the Park festival in Oosterhout. Pubs, cafés and small intimate theatres are also places where Tinkers, Drinkers, Dreamers are welcome guests. The band has released two CDs in the past: ‘Running Roots’ and ‘A Gap in the Clouds’. The band members have very diverse musical backgrounds: from Rock, through Blues to Americana. Even Ragtime, Old-time and Country influences can be detected in the arrangements of the traditionals played. Jigs, reels, polkas and Old-time tunes with illustrious names have a permanent uplifting place in the repertoire, played with love and speed. The band consists of Bart van Asten (guitar and vocals), Karel van Bokhoven (mandolin and vocals), Ton van der Weerden (accordion) and Ruud Sempel (bass).
