A Repair Café is taking place again at Howeko. It's good to see that more and more people from Laarbeek can find the Repair .
Mostly household appliances are offered, like hoovers, irons and coffee machines. But also other appliances like: hobby machines, high-pressure cleaners and even patio heaters are offered. It is amazing to see how these appliances, after a simple intervention, can be used again on a daily basis. It is not always possible to repair the appliances, but when people, after consultation and consulting the internet, do not succeed in repairing them, the owner still feels satisfied. After all, they have tried. Most people go home with a repaired appliance for very little money. In addition to the cost of any replacement parts, there is also a voluntary contribution. So it is certainly worth your while to come along; 'throwing away is a waste, give your appliance a second round'. Hartman, manufacturer of garden furniture, has also made an offer whereby they provide spare parts for the chairs free of charge to the Repair Café. In addition, they also provide instructions for the repair. This is good because too often chairs and tables are thrown in the rubbish when they can still be repaired.
You can visit the Repair Café of Laarbeek via a free walk-in or an appointment. Send an e-mail to repairlaarbeek@gmail.com, stating what you want to have repaired and you will be sent an appointment time. Especially if you want to have small pieces of furniture or clothing repaired, sending an e-mail is handy. They will then make sure there are repairmen available. If you don't mind waiting, you can just walk in. The coffee is ready and there is time for a chat. They look forward to seeing you at Repair Café Laarbeek, which is affiliated to the national association, works with Howeko and is sponsored by the Village Council of Beek en Donk.
