Kennedy March through Deurne
On Saturday, 4 July 2026, the 62nd edition of the Kennedy March Someren will take place. Thousands of walkers will take on the challenge of covering 80 kilometres, and once again Deurne will be an important stop along the route.
Traditionally, participants enter the municipality via Vlierden and the Sint Jozef district. The fastest walkers are expected to arrive around 10:00 pm, followed by the rest of the participants throughout the evening and night. The route continues along Hellemanstraat towards the centre of Deurne, where walkers are welcomed on the Market Square by enthusiastic spectators and lively terraces. They then continue their remarkable journey via Houten Hoek and De Vennen towards ORO Het Rijtven.

The Kennedy March is one of the Netherlands' most famous walking events and attracts thousands of participants and visitors every year. In addition to the traditional 80-kilometre march, 40-kilometre and 8-kilometre walking tours are also organised. The event starts in Someren at 8:00 pm on Saturday, and participants must return to the finish line before 4:00 pm on Sunday.
