King's Day Beek and Donk

Kings Day Beek and Donk will be a celebration with children at the forefront. 

Koningsdag is one of the highlights in the Netherlands every year, and Beek en Donk will certainly be no different in 2025. This year, children will take centre stage during a festive day full of activities and fun. The King will celebrate his birthday with a colourful and vibrant day in the Beek and Donk Music and Village Garden!

One of the highlights of the day is the children's bicycle parade. Children are encouraged to decorate their bikes in the national colours and other creative designs. Accompanied by the Royal Harmony O&U and festive drumbeats from the guilds, the parade moves through the streets of Beek and Donk and ends in the Music Garden, where the bikes are admired and the children are cheered on. In the Muziektuin this year, there will be a real free market where children can sell their own stuff. Music lovers will enjoy live performances by Harmonie O&U and the Beek en Donk OverDagEnsemble. With cheerful sounds, they will provide the perfect music during the festivities.

For younger children, there will be supervised challenging bouncy castles where they can let off steam to their hearts' content. There is also a make-up theatre where children can have their faces transformed into beautiful works of art, ranging from princesses and superheroes to animals and flowers. To complete the theatre, there is a real Castle décor for an unforgettable photo opportunity. For snapshots taken by mum, dad, grandpa or grandma or just a nice fat selfie with brothers, sisters, friends and/or girlfriends. The talented dance group DéDé will also give a performance, taking the atmosphere to an even higher level with their energetic and colourful dances. This performance promises to be a true spectacle.

No party is complete without something tasty to enjoy. There will be stalls where visitors can feast on various snacks and drinks. Whether you fancy sweet or savoury, there is something for everyone.
