The mill was built in 1847 in Wateringen. It was rebuilt in 1893 in Zeilberg and started to be used as a flourmill. In 2004, the mill was taken over by the local Excelsior wind and percussion section that uses the mill - and particularly the annexe - as club house/rehearsal room.
In October 2012, this listed building was fully restored and festively opened for business. A miller was engaged to ensure that the mill may often be viewed again in its full operational glory.
