History

In 1894 the new parish St. Leonardus split off from the St. Michael parish. Before that split, St. Michael's Church served Beek and Donk; after the split, St. Michael's Church served the faithful of Beek and St. Leonard's Church served the faithful of Donk.

The new church building was put into use in 1897. The building was designed by architect Caspar Franssen.

In 1929 the church building was extended with two side aisles to the design of architect Cor Roffelsen.

In 1980, there was a parochial reorganisation and the St. Michael's Parish and the Leonardus Parish were merged into the Beek en Donk Parish.

On 16 August 2002, the church building was registered in the national monument register.…

In January 2013, the church building was withdrawn from worship.
