Ter Watermolen | Gemert
The estate Ter Watermolen was a large farmstead in the Middle Ages, whose main building was located on the Haageijk, near the former water mill. The estate Ter Watermolen was owned by the Commanderij Gemert and the area bounded by Haageijk, Kruiseind, Deel, Molenbroekseloop, Lodderdijk, Watermolen belonged largely to the lands of the estate, which is mentioned as early as 1407. On the territory of Ter Watermolen the House Lankveld (Het Slotje) was built ca 1430. After commander Johan Clot issued a long lease on the farmstead in 1407, the property was divided into many different plots with various owners, including all the properties along Haageijk.
