On September 25, 2022, the bell will ring at Steenweg 55. An Englishman stands at the door. The son of a liberator. He follows in his father's footsteps. His special story is the beginning of this performance. Because Helmond was liberated on September 25, 1944, but was the war actually over here? What happened around the liberation and in the months that followed? During those years, three other houses in the area also rang the doorbell. Small stories perhaps in the great history of the world, but every story is meaningful. The performance literally takes you into the neighborhood. During a pleasant walk with headphones we tell the stories of the addresses where the doorbell rang. Then you watch the performance in Het Speelhuis about what happened at Steenweg 55.
