What to see and do in Griendtsveen?
The picturesque village of Griendtsveen originated in the peat colonial period, now a protected village view, and still breathes the atmosphere of the past. Peat was extracted on a large scale, you can see the traces of a rich history in a picturesque landscape. Canals, ditches, drawbridges, waterways and peel lanes. The historic inn on the water -Morgenstond Griendtsveen-, an old village pump, the apostle houses and also the old Villa of the Van de Griendt family keep memories of the past alive.
