‘Moving with the times’ party night for over-50s

A disco/dance night organised by the youth for the over-50s. Older people often complain about today's youth, but of course they were once young themselves. Therefore, the organisers of the party evening ‘With the times’ think it would be super fun to show that young people can also be very sociable. Therefore, together with the Seniorenvereniging Beek en Donk, they want to organise a Disco/Dance evening for the over-50s of Beek en Donk.

Thomas, Elma, Jeroen, Brian, Tommie and others, the LEVgroep (Miranda and Bram) and Seniorenvereniging Beek en Donk (Peter and Mariëtte) enthusiastically set to work on this. Thus was born the idea of the party evening ‘Met de tijd mee’ with music from the 60s, 70s and 80s that will take place in the Ontmoetingscentrum. 

Tickets will be available at the walk-in of Seniorenvereniging Beek en Donk in the Waterpoort, entrance Rubenslaan, on Tuesday 11 June from 10.00 to 11.30. Coffee will be ready for you then. This applies to all 50+ people of Beek and Donk, even if you are not a member. From 17 to 21 June, tickets are available at the Ontmoetingscentrum between 13.00 and 15.00 hrs. Snacks will be provided and dancing is allowed! If you want to dress up in clothes from those years: please do so as it increases the party atmosphere. You can also submit a maximum of five songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s that you would like to have played before 10 June to the DJ of that evening via email or phone. 

Should you have some old goodies to brighten up the hall and create the atmosphere of those years, that would be nice. This could be for decoration (with records, objects from those days, for example) but also for use, for example (orange) trays and dishes. If you would like to make something similar available, please drop it off at the Meeting Centre on Wednesday afternoon 26 or Friday afternoon 28 June.
