Nicole van Oss holds an exhibition 'Encaustic art. Encaustic art is difficult to photograph; the texture and depth only come into their own in reality.

Nature is the biggest source of inspiration for Nicole van Oss, a contemporary artist from Gemert. Her passion for painting arose at a young age, influenced by her family and surroundings. Since 2016, she has focused entirely on her art, especially encaustic art, an age-old technique involving heat processing beeswax. By working layer upon layer, she creates structure and depth, giving her paintings a poetic feel. She combines beeswax with pastels, ink and natural resins, creating unique effects. For Nicole, art is more than image; it is emotion and atmosphere, respecting both harmony and imperfection.
