Heerlijck Hopveld the gardens of VELT- Gemert organizes a course of 2 afternoons and a whole day November and December 2023 The dates of the lessons are Saturday November 25 , Saturday December 2, Saturday December 9. In 3 afternoons and a full day you will learn the basic techniques of basket weaving.
Teacher is Jac de Cock from Stevensbeek. He is creative in and with nature and skilled in braiding with willow. During the course the history of basket weaving, the biotope of the willow, the meaning of the willow for humans and animals as well as the cultivation and treatment of willow twigs will be discussed.
