Natuurgebied De Biezen

Here, one tries to obtain a rich insect world by leaving dead wood. The area is planted with poplars, dry oak woods and marshy woods. The poplar planting is being transformed into an area with ash and alder. There are also meagre and flowery grasslands. The route passes through inhospitable and humid nature reserves. It is an adventurous walk, which also allows you to go off the beaten track. Boots or high shoes are therefore necessary.

The start is at the forester's house in the Biezen. This forester's house is located on the straight road, slightly paved with gravel, which lies between the Peeldijk/Biezen and the Asdonkseweg. From Beek en Donk, one takes the Peeldijk/Biezen, and then after passing the Brabantse Kluis, the second road on the right (the first road on the right is a straight, unpaved road, which also goes through the Biezen). Coming from Aarle-Rixtel you go from den Heikant (Bakelse weg) to the left into the Asdonkseweg, and then you take the second half-hardened road to the left.
