De Peel and De Witte Bergen
The vast majority of the peat bog was excavated by peat cutters and sold as 'the gold of the Peel'. The walk takes you further to De Witte Bergen; the area around the fish pond offers an oasis of tranquility for walkers and fishermen, the latter can indulge themselves here because the fish pond is full of bream, perch, carp, pike, roach and tench.
Starting points: Buitencentrum De Pelen, Moostdijk 15 Ospel and Visvijver Golf Course 't Woold, Gezandebaan 46 Asten-Heusden.
