Coach House/Service Residence Watermolenwal 1 - Helmond
This former coach house with service residence was built in 1891 by order of the manufacturer A. Prinzen. The architect was J. W. van der Putten. The building was constructed as a service residence for the manufacturer’s house at Markt 213.
The single-story building is adjoined on the left to the associated former residence and post office, while the right facade is freestanding.
The former coach house with service residence is of cultural-historical importance as a representative of the socio-economic development, particularly the urban expansion through the construction of richly detailed townhouses for manufacturers. It holds architectural-historical significance due to the richly detailed Neo-Renaissance facades and is noteworthy as an example of the work of J. W. van der Putten. It has ensemble value in connection with the building at Markt 213.
