Herenhuis Markt 213 - Helmond
After a renovation in 1928, the building served as a tax office. The interior was completely remodeled in the 1980s. Nowadays, the building houses restaurant De Rozario.
The two-story building with a hipped roof is located on the corner of the Markt and Watermolenwal. The façades on these sides are nearly identical, with a few minor details differing. The façade on the Markt side features a hardstone mailbox. The foundation stone was laid by Gerardina Prinzen, who was seven years old at the time.
The former townhouse has cultural and historical significance as a representative of the socioeconomic development, particularly the urban expansion through the construction of richly detailed Neo-Renaissance façades, and is important as an example of the work of J. W. van der Putten. It also holds ensemble value due to its prominent placement on a corner of the market square.
