This time, the performances by the musical groups will all take place from the small stage next to the Park Pavilion, and as they change places, time will be filled each time by an additional singing group at a self-selected spot among the audience.

The programme will be opened at noon by ‘t is Deeger Wa, the court chapel of the carnival association De Pierewaaiers from Bakel. This music group consists of 15 musicians under the musical direction of Karin Raijmakers. Every year, they provide all Pierewaaiers and Pierewaaaierinnekes with a musical carnival.

During the three changes of music groups, the a capella choir Multi(f)vocaal will perform. This choir consists of six women and has a special repertoire of mostly musical pieces arranged by Loekie Ruissen. Such as a song from an opera, a swinging number from the 1930s and 1940s, but also a song by Billy Joel, Sinead O'Connor or the Eagles.

At 1pm, it is the turn of the music group Ons Hermenieke from Nuenen. Fifty years ago, carnival was at the origin of Ons Hermenieke. They were one of the first brass bands to promote street carnival on the Stratumseind and grew into mood creators who turned up at parties all the time. Twenty years ago, it was time for a new repertoire. From polonaise to cosy party music for weddings and parties.

A performance by the Heren van het Atelier (HVA) from Nuenen will follow at around 2pm. This trio has been making music together for about 20 years. Supported by accordion, guitar and flute, they sing and play songs in the folk genre. From Irish and French folk music instrumental songs, but also Dutch and Flemish songs are performed. The name HVA comes from the fact that the men spend a weekly afternoon making music in the studio of one of the members (visual artist).

From 15:00, this afternoon's programme will conclude with a performance by BBC Jazz. The orchestra started in 1991 and has grown into a jazz orchestra playing varied and swinging sounds under the inspiring leadership of conductor Pierre Heesakkers. In recent years, not only has their composition changed, their choice of music has also changed. BBC Jazz has gone the way of jazz music at its broadest. Rock, Swing and Blues tunes are interspersed with Latin and Funk. The repertoire includes modern blues themes as well as classic swing pieces.
