Stairs for Flaps

Sparta'25 is holding a unique event as part of its 100th anniversary: Pedalling for Flaps. A cycling event at the club's clubhouse for both members and non-members. Sparta'25 also wants to show its social commitment during its jubilee year. The proceeds of this event will be donated by Sparta'25 to KansPlus. An organisation that stands up for people with mental and/or multiple disabilities.

On Friday 21 March, the sprint and pair race for pairs will be started for anyone who wants to participate (including non-members). In the 1970s-80s, this was hugely popular in Brabant. On the stage are four cycling bikes where pairs compete against each other. A sprint over 250 metres and a couples' race over 750 metres. Up to 32 couples can participate with prize money of up to 750 euro to be earned. Anyone can participate. To sign up, please send an e-mail. 

On Saturday, youth teams aged 15 to 19 will show their cycling skills. The kicking for flaps weekend will conclude on Sunday after the first team's match with some races between various prominent people. For this prominent persons race, there are already commitments from Prince Luuk LI of the Teugelders of Ganzendonck and the chairmen of Sparta ‘25 (Erwin Gramser) and KansPlus (Ans van de Kerkhof). The prominence race will be opened by the drum band of Nooit Gedacht.
