Friends of Tjeu

The 'Vrienden van Tjeu' (Friends of Tjeu) is a new-age Brabant music group. It performs a catchy collection of its own songs with styles from around the world brought with a sense of theatre and atmosphere.  Their song "Brabants Gevül" was used by Omroep Brabant as the namesake and tune for a programme of the same name. The Friends of Tjeu consists of Toon van Mierlo (vocals, guitar) and Wouter van Aaken (double bass, guitar) with occasional guest musicians. The musicians have previously played at festivals and venues such as Lowlands, Oerol, Paaspop and many pubs in Brabant. At the festival, they play mostly acoustic but in addition, they are currently working on the projects Brabodiscosjo and a collection of songs about the vanished Brabant railways. So: give your life a bit more zest, become a Friend of Tjeu...
