Manege Heijligers
Since 2005, the management has been in the hands of André and Resie Heijligers and their sons Erik and Ruud. Kim and Ingrid, Erik and Ruud's wives, also participate full time in the business.
When the brothers joined the management in 2005, the equestrian centre was already beautifully equipped with three indoor riding halls and one outdoor area. The centre offered many classes and organised regional and national competitions. The brothers wanted to revitalise the future of equestrian sports, however, and came up with plans to organise international competitions in addition to their other activities. To achieve this, the centre needed to be adapted. The outdoor accommodation was completely renovated in 2012, and in 2014 the indoor competition arena was also completely updated.

To achieve this, the centre needed to be adapted. The outdoor accommodation was completely renovated in 2012, and in 2014 the indoor competition arena was also completely updated.
The centre now boasts a large outdoor competition arena of 55 x 80 metres and next to it a warming-up arena of 30 x 50 metres. Both feature ebb and flow sports floor. Indoors, the competition hall has been widened (35 x 60 metres) and updated. It now meets all floor, light and noise requirements for equestrian sports and other events. There are also two more riding indoor halls measuring 20 x 40 metres. Needless to say, all halls are equipped with sports floors. In 2014, a new entrance was built and the catering facilities were also expanded with a cafeteria and grand café. The parking facilities were updated as well. The deer park in front of the centre was completely refurbished, including a new playground.
All this has resulted in an equestrian centre offering equestrian sports for all riders of all abilities, from youth to Olympic champions, seven days a week. Competitions are organised most weekends, and many riders train there year-round because of the excellent facilities. The equestrian centre also offers boarding. There are also plenty of activities for the beginners including lessons, outdoor rides, mutual competitions, etc. After all, for the Heijligers family, it is paramount that everyone feels welcome at the equestrian centre. Young or old, novices or top-level riders, and even non-horsey people are all welcome!
Anyone is welcome to come take a look at our equestrian centre! We are open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m. We are closed on Mondays.
