D'n Erpse Pad

The Goose Walk is a wonderful combination of walking and culinary enjoyment along the route. You will walk through De Biezen and Grotelse Heide and will be pampered 'en route' at various locations with fresh pastries, a delicious soup, a tasty main course and a fresh dessert. The walk starts at Herberg de Brabantse Kluis in Aarle-Rixtel, where you will be warmly welcomed with coffee and cake. You can take a look at the cows and calves on the farm. From here you walk over the footbridge along the Snelle Loop towards the hamlet of Tereyken and Grotel's Heide nature reserve. 

Before you enter the heathland, your next stop will be at Grotel's Genieten. Here you will be served a delicious appetiser. Nature reserve Grotels Heide includes a pine forest that is bordered by a stream, the Esperloop. In the nature reserve there are several cattle, they take care of the grazing. De Peel used to be a high moor area, a swamp area and hardly accessible. At the edges of the Peel, the landscape consisted more of heathland with the odd bush here and there.

Your next resting point is at Landgoed d'n Heikant in Aarle-Rixtel. Here you will be treated to a tasty main course. Before you continue on your way, you can enjoy the performances of the golfers who are hitting their best ball. You then continue on through De Biezen nature reserve, an area with woods, meadows and a few fields. There is a footpath with nice wooden bridges.

When you return to De Brabantse Kluis, you will finish with a delicious dessert. If you wish, you can have a little after-dinner drink here before setting off on your journey home. You can extend the package with a relaxing overnight stay at Herberg de Brabantse Kluis.
