Walking Happiness route 1 in Lierop

You start the walk at the beautiful Lieropse Koepelkerk. Via Florastraat and Kerkepad, turn right into Slutelakker. On your left you will see the playground and the Jeu de Boules court. After crossing the Heesvenstraat, follow the yellow arrows to the 3-Slotenveldje where you turn right. Follow the Otterdijkseweg until you can turn left onto the sandy path. Follow this path until junction 68. Here you turn right into the d'Oetert nature reserve and keep following the Yellow arrows. When you arrive at the Varendonkweg, turn right and at the end turn left again in the direction of Someren. A little past Slievenstraat 69, turn right before the ditch and follow the Yellow arrows again. You arrive at junction 67. Here you can rest on the bench, from where you can see Lierop in the distance.  

The walk is continued via the parking lot De Vloeten over the bat bridge and via the swinging gate turn right over the cycle path to the bench at the Kleine Aa, where you have a great view over the "Vaarsche Hoef". After a short walk along the Kleine Aa, turn right at the dam and follow the yellow arrows again. The path turns into an old farm track. When you are back in the woods, just before the Philipsbosweg, turn right onto the asphalted path. In the sharp bend to the left you will find a bench against the edge of the forest. Then walk in the direction of Philipsbosweg and turn right towards Lierop. Keep following this road and turn right onto Berkeindje. Via the Groenstraat and Somerenseweg you will return to the starting point, which is also the end point of this beautiful Happiness Route.
