A Linguistic Adventure
Discover the poetry and architecture of Helmond at your own pace. The poems appear everywhere: on façades, wooden benches, or doors you pass by. The walk starts at the window next to the entrance of the Read & Lunch Café "De Bieb" on Piet Blomplein, then leads you through the iconic cube houses to the cozy Ketsegangske.

Don’t forget to examine the many benches along the way; most benches in the city center feature short poems. For example, on Koninginnewal, you’ll find poems created by children. The route also takes you through Lambertushof, where you can peek inside workshops and perhaps spot an artist at work!

Continue your walk via Hotel St Lambert, a perfect spot for a break, before heading towards the Castle. Next, you’ll pass the new home of the EDAH Museum and the Organ Museum, Loods20. The mural by Bud Hoiting decorates the entire façade, depicting a day in the life of the 1930s/40s.

The Poetry Walk continues via the Cacaofabriek to the Het Speelhuis theater. Can you spot the poem here? The route takes you along stunning façades on the Steenweg, past Brasserie Rubenshof to the Oude Aa with the bookstore De Ganzenveer. The walk concludes at Burgemeester Geukerspark.
