During this cycle route you will pass Sint-Oedenrode, or Papgat. It is so called because porridge was a frequent item on the menu at a time when the not so well-off population often had to make do with this simple but nutritious meal. In Lieshout, traces have been found dating back to around 10,000 B.C. When the Wilhelmina Canal was dug in 1917, they came across these traces by chance. If you cycle through Sint-Oedenrode, you will pass the Antonius van Padua church, which is also beautiful to see.
