Harmonie St Caecilia Lieshout/Mariahout
Harmonie St Caecilia, perhaps the most sociable harmony in Brabant! It is impossible to imagine the community of Lieshout and Mariahout without St Caecilia. Its 150th anniversary is already in sight and it is flourishing like never before.
Making interesting music at a good level is the goal. Both main orchestras, the wind band and the percussion group, operate in the first and second divisions respectively. However, the road to good musical performance should not be at the expense of sociability. St Caecilia's way of doing this is to combine performance with a lot of fun, during and around activities. The senior orchestra is the perfect example. Despite its sometimes advanced age, it gives by far the most concerts in the year.

Social task
Besides giving concerts, St Caecilia is also very active on the streets. About forty times a year, the orchestra is present at festivities or memorable events in the two villages and far beyond. Social involvement, a permanent place in village life, is seen as an important task.

Education
An association cannot continue to exist without new members. St Caecilia offers music education to the children of Lieshout and Mariahout. They learn how to play a musical instrument, individually but also in groups. They are prepared by the various student and training orchestras.
Good music education, social involvement, enjoying music and musical performance. That is what the Harmonie St Caecilia stands for.
