Lecture: Book and war photographs

Lecture by Jeroen Arts on the book and war photos of Johan Prinsen. 

The Aarlese heemkundekring Barthold van Heesel will hold a special lecture on the war photos of Johan Prinsen and the recently published book ‘Visual record of the war: Johan Prinsen photographs Aarle-Rixtel, 1939-1944’. During this evening, new stories and discoveries will be shared about the Second World War in Aarle-Rixtel.

The presentation will be given by Jeroen Arts, one of the authors of the book. He will take you into the world of Johan Prinsen and the unique collection of photos capturing the war years. In addition, new facts and stories that have come to light after the book was published will be highlighted. The evening is at De Couwenberg in Aarle-Rixtel. Entrance is free for members of the local history society, non-members pay a small contribution. This evening offers the chance to discover more about Aarle-Rixtel's history during the war years.
