Knowledge café: non-congenital brain injury

What is it like to live with Non-congenital Brain Injury (NAH)? And what is it like for the partner of someone with NAH? Experience expert Susanne Dimmers and her husband Peter tell their story during the Knowledge Café.

Non-congenital brain injury (NAH) is injury to the brain that occurs after birth. It has various causes, such as a stroke, an accident, a tumour, an infection or oxygen deprivation. As a result, you may suffer from many things such as: behavioural changes, memory problems, fatigue, loss of concentration, speech and language problems, balance problems and changes in emotions. With her lecture, Susanne hopes to ask for understanding for people with NAH and to show that with a positive attitude you can go on living.
