The Helmonds Slavonic Choir will give a Christmas concert at the Michaëlskerk in Beek en Donk. They are an enthusiastic mixed choir that since 1992 has dedicated itself to performing choral music from countries where a Slavic language is spoken. Because of this specialisation, the mixed HSK occupies a unique place within the Helmond choral community.

Its rich Slavic choral music includes choral music from the Russian Orthodox Church and folk music as well as choral works by famous and anonymous composers. The music sung by them comes from Ukraine, Russia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Croatia. The Helmonds Slavonic Choir has been under the musical direction of Natalia Tretiakova since November 2022. This Moscow-born conductor lives in Nuenen.
