Walking Happiness route 2 in Lierop

HAPPINESS ROUTE 2 

You start the walk at the beautiful Lieropse Koepelkerk. A Happiness Place for many! 

In the Offermansstraat, immediately behind the rectory wall, turn left into the beautiful park. At the 3rd fork, turn right and follow the path to Lijestraat. Cross this between house numbers 25 and 27. At the end of the sandy path, turn left until the intersection where you turn right. You walk along Nirwana down the Meervensedijk. For many, Nirwana is known for the Nirwana garden party, the various live performances and the cozy beer!

If you follow the Meervensedijk, you will find the Huvenersven on your right. The Huvenersven with a very special ditch structure; In bad weather, the green acts like an umbrella and in sunshine you experience the beautiful sun rays that descend between the greenery. 

In the bend you turn right and then the first forest path left again. Follow this forest path until you reach the fence. Here you go right. At the end of the fence, turn left and look out over the Beuven, the largest fen in the Netherlands! Enjoy the Weidse Nature and the tranquility of the Lieropse and Strabrechtse Heide!

From here you follow the yellow hiking junction arrows and via the hiking junctions 57 and 58 you go in the direction of 59. (You will not arrive at junction 59); Here you can experience the newly created sand drift behind the hamlet of Moorsel. Enjoy a wide landscape in all shades of yellow and brown under a beautiful Dutch cloudy sky. 

    After turning right once and left once, follow this path until about 50 meters before the barrier. There you turn left to the hamlet of Moorsel. On the terrace of Boscafe Pastoorke van Moorsel you can relax in the middle of the greenery.

From hiking junction 60 you walk along the edge of the forest and follow the yellow arrows to the Hanekampweg. Here you turn right. At 't Heieind you turn left. At the sports hall in the Lijestraat, turn right past Primary School 't Rendal. Via the Offermansstraat you come back to the starting point, which is also the end point of this Happiness Route.
